Wear white to your trial to get an idea of how the makeup will look with your dress.
Consider having your hair trial done on the same day to see the complete look.
If you will be wearing tan or getting a spray tan, please have this done beforehand, as the colour of your skin will affect how the makeup appears. Avoid applying tan to your face unless you have trialled it. Tan can clog the pores and dehydrate the skin. Do not dye your eyebrows if you are wearing tan on your face, as the dye can turn green.
If you are having any facials in the lead-up to your wedding, I recommend trialling this before your makeup trial. Avoid chemical facials for at least three months before your wedding. Do not start using any retinoids within six months of your wedding, as they can trigger breakouts and cause flakiness in the skin.
If you have any pimples, please do not try to pop them. Instead, ice them morning and night to reduce swelling. A bump is much easier to cover than a scab.
Avoid waxing your eyebrows, especially the top, as makeup will not sit well on waxed skin. Ask your beautician to pluck or thread instead. If you plan on getting a brow lamination, try to have this done before your makeup trial.
If you will be wearing eyelash extensions for your wedding, please have them done for your makeup trial. Do not get an eyelash lift (perm) if you plan to wear individual or strip lashes, as I will not be able to apply false lashes to permed eyelashes.
